God loves you and offers you the gift of life for now and eternity.
What prevents man from enjoying life today?
Man’s relationship with God has been broken by sin. What is sin? Sin is living life in a selfish way without acknowledging God. All have sinned and the result is that our relationship with God is broken and we are separated from him. Left to ourselves, we are not only unable to live a life pleasing to God but our life is hostile to God. Guilt and fear burden our lives and we stand condemned before God.
Jesus gives life
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, Jesus, that whoever believes in him shall not die but have eternal life.
Jesus took our sin and paid the penalty of our sin by his death on the cross. He died our death. On the third day after his death, Jesus rose from the grave. He is alive today. The name of Jesus has power and authority over all. This Jesus offers you forgiveness for sin and the gift of life.
The Invitation – “Be reconciled to God!”
Turn from your God-less and selfish way of living – turn to God. Agree with God that you have sinned against him. Ask God to forgive you, believing Jesus has paid the penalty of your sin. Receive him into your life. Receive the free gift of life that God is offering you today with thankfulness.
The Full life
Here are some of the marks of the new life that Jesus gives – love, joy, peace, healing, forgiveness, purity, rest, freedom, security, purpose, righteousness, fulfillment, confidence and much more.
If you accept the invitation to be reconciled to God, we invite you to pray like this:
Dear God, I have sinned against you. Please forgive me. Today I believe Jesus died for my sins. You punished Jesus instead of me. Lord Jesus come into my life. Save me and be my Lord. I receive your gift of eternal life. Thank you, Jesus.
