We are secured in Christ. Consider these scriptures –
Jesus said: I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all ; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.John 10:28, 29
Jesus prayed: Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name–the name you gave me–so that they may be one as we are one. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.
Jesus protects us and keeps us safe. He prays for us. And his intercession for us is effective.
Paul had confidence in God to keep him –
2 Tim 1:12b
… I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.
Arun, thank you for sharing this great truth which at times gets twisted by wrong teachings. Jesus knows that we fragile humans need a constant assurance of our safety and security in him, because apart from him we can do nothing. He did not leave room for any doubt with regard to our salvation. Hallelujah!
